WHO ARE WE?

We are Best Coast Entertainment. Its a company I thought up while working security in 2005. I still have the napkin I wrote the original outline on. I was a student at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA as a recording engineer. I started the company in 2006 after my 21st birthday.

As of 2008, we have a record label, promotions, event planning, and branching into film with my 1st screenplay "Lovely". The company consists of Myself, my partner Lamar, A&R Ariana and all our recording artist. Check the artist out at myspace.com/bestcoastent

I started this company because I believe the old business model is dead. Hip Hop is ran by people who have nothing to do with the culture. They are old guys in high offices who listen to the radio and think that's hip hop. Then they try to make a cookie cutter copy of the songs on the radio. That's not hip hop. But in that same sentence, I can't tell you exactly what hip hop is lol. Just know that Best Coast Ent is hip hop. I wanted to shine light on an area I'm from. That I love. This company is built from the knowledge I've acquired since starting out as a 16 year old record label intern at Merlot Studio/Records and fresh new ideas I come up while doing nothing but standing around at my security day job
